Guangao Port Area Phase II project 100,000-ton container terminal and 20,000-ton container terminal
On the occasion of the first anniversary of the establishment of the Overseas Chinese Economic and Cultural Cooperation Pilot Zone, the construction of the 100,000-ton container terminal project of the second phase of Shantou Port and the 20,000-ton petrochemical terminal project of the Guang-Ao Port Area have begun in our city, marking a new chapter for Shantou Port to build itself into an international deep-water port.
According to reports, both the 100,000-ton container terminal project of Guangao Port Area Phase II and the 20,000-ton petrochemical terminal project of Guangao Port Area are located in Guangao Bay, Haojiang District, Shantou City. Among them, the 100,000-ton container terminal project of Guangao Port Area Phase II project will construct two 100,000-ton container berths and one 10,000-ton container berth, with a designed annual passing capacity of 1.25 million TEUs. The total investment estimate of the project is 2.876 billion yuan, and the construction period is expected to be 30 months. Guangao Port Area 20,000-ton petrochemical wharf project integrates loading, unloading and storage, mainly storing and transiting oil and liquid chemicals. One 20,000-ton petrochemical wharf will be built, and two 5,000-ton petrochemical ships will be berthing at the same time. The total investment of the project is 497 million yuan. The construction period of the terminal project is expected to be one and a half years, and the construction period of the reservoir project is expected to be two years.
